VET / TAFE
Vocational education and training (VET) teaches you knowledge and specific practical skills to help you in the workplace, put simply it is learning that helps you with getting a job. Many high school students get to undertake VET certificates while still in school to start developing workplace skills, usually these are certificate I or II levels. Once you leave school you can access certificates, diplomas and apprenticeship/traineeship courses through VET providers, with TAFE being the largest public providers in all states across Australia. VET is not just limited to traditional construction trade areas, there are hundreds of courses to choose from across many different industries.
My Skills
My Skills website is the national directory of vocational education and training (VET) organisations and courses. It is an Australian Government initiative to enable consumers to search for, and compare, VET courses and training providers.
