National Indigenous Australians Agency

The Commonwealth vision is that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are enrolling, progressing and completing their higher education studies at the same rate or better than other Australians. This vision is consistent with the Commonwealth’s continuing commitment to the goals of the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Policy. Indigenous Higher Education Units (IHEUs) are located in universities all around Australia. These units provide support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, create a network of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students/academics and provide an Indigenous presence on all Australian university campuses.
