Meerilinga
Meerilinga is a not-for-profit organisation and registered charity that promotes the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child; working with children, their families, early childhood professionals, planners and the community to raise the status of children in Western Australia.
Ngala
At Ngala we have a range of community and residential services across Western Australia which support local communities. Services range from private consultations to access to our Parenting Line which is available for all parenting queries 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm. Ngala’s services have been developed to provide support for all parents and carers with children from conception to adulthood.
Child Health WA
Community Child Health provides free healthcare services from birth to school age for your child and family to help raise healthy kids, healthy communities in Western Australia.
We offer:
- five Child Health or ‘Purple Book’ appointments (and extra appointments if you need them)
- a School Entry Health Assessment when your child starts school
- a variety of parenting groups
- referrals to other child health services if needed.
Playgroup WA
Playgroup is a place in your local community for children aged 0 to 5 years and their parent or caregiver to regularly meet, make friends and play! There are so many different playgroups across WA and most are run by parent volunteers.
Health Direct
Healthdirect provides free, trusted health information and advice, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
HIPPY Australia
HIPPY is a two-year, home-based, early learning and parenting program for families with young children. HIPPY is designed to fit into the daily life of the family. HIPPY families spend around 10 to 15 minutes a day, five days a week, doing educational activities together. HIPPY families are supported by Tutors, who schedule regular weekly or fortnightly visits to discuss and work through the program activities in the family’s home. We encourage all parents to also participate in regular parent group meetings, where possible.
